Extraordinary Ministers of
Holy Communion
The sharing of the Body and Blood of Christ is the source
of our collective spiritual life. In this ministry you, with the
priest, serve your brothers and sisters by sharing with them
the mystery that makes us one. Extraordinary ministers must
have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Those selected for this ministry must have, or soon acquire,
the grace in movement and reverence in touch that
characterizes all who minister before the assembly.
Reverence in touch is especially important for ministers of
communion, since their whole work involves taking in hand the
vessels of bread and of wine and sharing them with everyone.
