St. Raymond Pastoral Council-Minutes from May 4, 2006
·
Connie led the Opening Prayer.
·
Everyone was present except for Tom and Eric.
·
Minutes from last meeting were approved.
·
Implementation of the 5 year plan was discussed.
Rosann suggested that we wait until
everyone was able to be here.
·
Dates are not available for the staff meeting-different dates were discussed.
·
Father Bob said that we were upon the First Communion season.
We will be also
celebrating Confirmations.
·
We have a new principal, who had
been a vice-principal at Moreau.
·
Offers had been made to
a youth minister; so far there has been no response.
·
We have had some unwelcoming incidents, so we have to make an effort to deal with it.
·
Interviews were held with some property management companies.
The first groups
would bring down the costs if we would do some of the work. Efforts were discouraging.
·
Easter and the Tridium were lovely.
The Pastoral Council
meeting was not held because
the whole church goes on retreat.
·
Seven to nine priests were available to hear confession, but the attendance was low.
Private confessions were held on Tuesday and Wednesday for two hours.
·
Rosann was impressed with Holy
Thursday.
·
Thirty-five people went on retreat.
It was successful.
·
We still haven't heard for the insurance company about the electrical switch.
·
Father Terry will be gone for a month to go to Thailand.
·
The time for discussion about discernment is upon us again.
Rosann suggested that
perhaps there was a better night.
We need to do it sooner, and, maybe should go to
different organizations.
A small summary of the duties will be written for the bulletin.
As part of St. Raymond's sacrificial giving program, we agreed to give a donation to
Prescott Joseph Center for Community Enhancement for $5,000.00.
·
Habitat for Humanity had a successful four days in Livermore.
·
Dave led the Closing Prayer.
