PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
June 7, 2007

Eric Hom called the meeting to order. Bob Reguilon gave the opening prayer.
1.) Opening Prayer

Approval of April 2007 Minutes – Eric Hom & Pastoral Council
May 2007 minutes were approved as amended
3.) Unfinished Business
The council reviewed and discussed the discernment process. The council also discussed recruitment
strategies.
There was a Social Justice update. Mary Doyle is the Social Justice coordinator. Mary provided
guidance and books to help the group formation. The group will meet the 2nd Wednesday of every
month. The focus of the group is to coordinator Social Justice programs and to provide education for
the parish.
The Council planned to meet with the staff in October and November to discuss how the council can
support the staff. The next meeting was established on 9/10 at 7.
On September 9, 2007 there will be a BBQ planned.
4.) Pastor Report

Picnic was a success despite wind
·
Parish census proposed. We need to first establish the goals of the census before starting.
·
Plumbing problems: Because of low water pressure, the pipes burst. The school was shut
down.
·
The Diocese is raising money for the Cathedral. There may be a “Buy a Brick” program
established.
5.) New Business
·
Dave and Connie are working on condensing the mission statement. They will discuss the
mission statement with Chuck Siebenand. The goal is to create a clear and succinct mission
statement.
Sacrificial Giving
·
$10,000 was granted to a scholarship for the Our Lady of Martyrs School
