PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
November 8, 2007

Father Bob gave the opening prayer.
Eric Hom called the meeting to order.
1. Opening Prayer
Father Bob gave the opening prayer.
2. Approve Minutes of October Meeting
The approval of previous meeting minutes was postponed until next meeting
3. Formation Opportunities
Bob Reguilon provided information about opportunities with formation.
4. Unfinished Business Updates
The Discernment process was discussed. Additionally new members were selected. The general
consensus was that there were a lot of good candidates, and that selecting new members would be
difficult. The council voted on new members and made recommendations to Father Bob.
5. December Meeting
The December meeting has been canceled.
6. Social justice Committee
There was a Social Justice update. The committee would like to start addressing issues of Poverty.
The Social Justice Committee is also creating a Calendar of events and may implement Just Faith.
7. Parish Mission Statement Review
The mission is:
To know Christ better, and to make Christ better known
8. Ministry Fair
St Vincent de Paul was pleased with giving. They have been able to help more people with 2nd
collection.
Bereavement committee would like more money. Specifically, so that can provide hams to grieving
families. Need more documentation is needed.
9. Pastor Report
St. Raymond’s will be using a new bulletin company. The new bulleting will be in color, can have
digital pictures, and be about 8-pages.
There was a discussion on the accountability of 12:00 mass. It is very important that those that attend
the 12 o’clock mass be on time.
St Vincent de Paul does not have organized baskets for Thanksgiving. The Religious Education
department has been taking over to fill the needs, but his should be coming from the St. Vincent de
Paul Society.
The Mass count results came back. There was no significant change in attendance at St. Raymond.
