Pastoral council meeting minutes

Eric Hom called the meeting to order

1)

Opening Prayer

Dave Conley led the council in prayer

Approval of November 2007 minutes – Eric Hom & Pastoral Council

We did not have minutes for approval

3)

Welcoming of New Pastoral Council members.  Eric reviewed the new terms of office.

Fr Bob spoke about the Diocesan Workshops in October and how this led to the new office term.

Each existing member shared their views of the past council year.

New Business

Nomination of Officers for the coming year was postponed until February.

Fr. Bob spoke about the new Parish Mission Statement. Mark requested an email of the revised Mission Statement so

that we may all start to work on forming a new Mission Statement

Pastor’s Report:

Father Bob spoke about how we are a tithing parish. We donate a percentage of our weekly collection to non-

profit groups. We discussed some of the groups that have received funds from St Raymond during the past year.

Fr bob spoke about the environment during the holidays and how the committee did a great job.

New Business:

Commissioning of the new Pastoral Council will be January 19th at the 10:30 mass

The Pastoral Council retreat: Personal Faith Journey. The date for the retreat is to be determined.

Dan Haley presented a proposal to change the Youth mass to 12:00 pm. This was discussed and it was decided

not to make this change.
